Helper Fire Department personnel are required to be Emergency Medical Technician’s, FireFighter l and/or FireFighter ll certified and Wildland Firefighter. Our department is fully staffed at 16 fire personnel.

All 16 are EMT and are CPR certified.
10 are Firefighter I with an additional 8 Firefighter II certified
13 are Wildland certified
2 trained in high angle rope rescues

All personnel have taken the National Incident Management classes (NIMS) as required by the federal government. All officers have taken additional NIMS courses as required. All personnel have taken a Hazardous Materials (HazMat) awareness course.

To maintain all necessary continuing education hours for recertification the Helper Fire Department meets twice monthly at the helper fire station. 

Helper Fire Department covers a very large area. We cover south to the golf course, north to Soldier Summit on highway 6. We cover all of Scofield and Clear Creek area. We cover all of Kenilworth and Spring Glen. We also cover Highway 191 to the top of Indian Canyon.We have assisted Price and Wellington on calls in their area and have assisted Spanish Fork Fire Department.
